2021 CONVOCATION & 50th ANNIVERSARY
The 6th convocation of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism Ogba-Ikeja, Lagos has been scheduled for Monday November 29 and Tuesday November 30, 2021 respectively on the Lagos campus.
This edition is unique as it is coming at a time the institution is celebrating her 50th anniversary.
Activities lined up for the ceremony are as follows:
1. Convocation Lecture titled: MEDIA, SECURITY AND NATION BUILDING.
Guest Speaker: His Excellency, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, Governor of Ekiti State.
Date: Monday, November 29, 2021.
Venue: NIJ Ogba Auditorium.
Time: 11:00am.
2. (a)Photo Exhibition
(b) Entrepreneural Products Exhibition
3. Convocation Ceremony
Presentation of certificates and award of fellowship by the Chairman, Governing Council, Chief Olusegun Osoba, former governor of Ogun State.
Date: Tuesday, November 30, 2021.
Venue: NIJ Ogba Auditorium.
Time: 11:00am.
Over 908 graduands will be receiving certificates in different areas of study.
National Diploma (ND) = 384,
Higher National Diploma (HND) = 295, and
Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) = 167.
Certificate courses: Proficiency Certificate in Photojournalism (PCPJ) = 19, Effective Writing and Communication (EWC) = 43.
