It was with so much enthusiasm the students of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism,Lagos on Wednesday , 29th May, 2024 graced the studio of the News Central situated at 8 Wemco road, Ikeja, Lagos.
The students numbering ten (10), were drawn from HND 1, 2 and the Post Graduate class. They left no stone unturned as they gave their perspectives to the state of the nation vis-a-vis the current state of the nation under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration.
The programme, Morning Breakfast which is produced by Amazing Adesanya, had the anchors are; Olive Emodi and Osarogie Ogbonmwa chat the course for the discussions and featured three guests in it’s recording. The guests were Dele Farotimi, a Lawyer and Public Affairs Analyst, Ugo Dre, the CEO of Nairametrics and Ayodele Adio a Public Affairs Analyst as well. They did not fail to give their insights, drawing their inputs from the political, economic and societal realities.
At the end of the recording, the CEO of News Central, Mr. Kayode Akintemi, gave the students a pep talk. He narrated the need for them to keep improving, in order to become the best version of themselves. He added that as they practice as journalists, they are to make truth their watch word in their reportage, as this will take them to the top in their career.
Students present at event include the following HND One students, Ojimadu Melody, Mac-young Blessing, Opatola Ifeoluwa and Ashemirogwa Emmanuel. Ifeoluwa Babatunde and Precious Nnwonu from the post graduate class as well as Mr. Anthony Oligbo a lecturer with the institute.
